My Convocation

I had been dreaming of wearing the jubah and mortal board when I first step into UNIMAS. I wonder how long should I study there and what would happen in future. At that time, for me, I thought three years was just a long period for me to forget all the sad things happened in my life. I would not wish to mention the sad things again now as I felt that that should be my always deep in my heart and should keep as a secret.

Three years was just like yesterday. Starting a new life with persons who I didn't met before. I thought I might had difficulty in socialize as I felt shy and did not easily believe in others. However, I started to love them, appreciate them, and glad that they were beside me during the last three years.

I know, our purpose is just hopping to graduate after the three years study. We thought we would be happy after the three years period.

Last Sunday is that day. We finally graduated!

Heart Shape Notification

Spot the heart shape notification? ♥ it so much~ ^♥^ only available for Google Chrome.

Adv: Berrylite

I'm always grateful that I have a super good room mate. She is a cheerful girl. Our room will always full of joy gossiping others with the present of her. She is just like a CNN keep telling us the latest and hot news in uni and outside uni. Wonder how she got the latest news. >.< ok! This was what she did last month which make me super happy! ^.^
OMG! Frozen Yogurt!!! My favourite!!! And they are now in Boulevard, Kuching!! Hopefully the frozen yogurt don't make me so disappointed. Can't wait!

So, I join their Facebook Fan Page just to know the latest news on Berrylite. And I saw that they had a blogger date on 30 May 2012. But I can't make it on that day... T.T
The invitation card that they send to me as a blogger. Sadly I can't attend.

Yesterday was the most ki siau day for me, Ting Fen (吻龙妹) and Wei Hua. LOL! We kept on calling people just to rent a car for outing. Purpose for outing? Just to try Berrylite frozen yogurt as they had their last day Buy 1 Free 1 promotion! Yeah! ^.^
Berrylite 100% fat-free frozen yogurt! Most frozen yogurt that I tried before are fat-free. So, I don't think it is super special la. Just hope that it won't be too sweet, too sour, too melt, more toppings, variety of topping, excellent services, strategic location... ^.^ hehe.. I know I'm choosy~
 Spot Berrylite! And it's crowded!
Three size of frozen yogurt. Of course three of us choose the largest. More worth to buy the largest one as it is Buy 1 Free 1 what! I love it! ^.^

Too bad they only have two favour for this promotion. So we had to choose chocolate (which I personally don't like) and original.
Ting Fen choose chocolate frozen yogurt with kiwi, grapes and almond (Wei Hua's favourite).
I choose original frozen yogurt with chocolate chips, raspberry and pamelon. Never seen pamelon as a choice of topping before in others brand of frozen yogurt. Creative!
Buy 1 Free 1 with three topping! ^.^
Me and my original frozen yogurt! ^.^ Happy face! But too cold there. Freezing there... >.<
Me and my super room mate Ting Fen.
Claimed our June privilege card as we are the first 300 fans in Facebook! ^.^ More more happy! ^.^
Too crowded and we had to take a seat in another shop which is not open yet.

Overall, I think still ok with it. My review of Berrylite:

Creativity:  the creativity of using pamelon as topping. Really nice taste.
Services:  excellent services! Thanks Faithlyn Hiew for serving us.
Environment:  lovely environment. ^.^ Strategic location! Lot's of seat (I couldn't get a seat just because it was really crowded yesterday).
Frozen yogurt (chocolate): ♥ too sweet for me. I hate it! >.<
Frozen yogurt (original):  Still ok! ^.^
Frozen yogurt: ♥ too melt. Hopefully they can lower the temperature so that it is not melt so fast.
Topping:  variety of topping but still not enough topping for me. Hopefully they give more topping next time! hehe.

Start With Hope, End With Disappointment

Still remember this photo? Yes! The poster competition! I took part in the poster competition last week and it make me super disappointed.

My purpose of this poster is to tell the reader of my poster about the impact of the share price on the share repurchase by the firms in Malaysia. So, to make it more "attractive" and "interesting" and "creative" (what I feel this to be attractive, interesting and creative but I'm not sure whether others will feel the same as me or not. ), I used the concept of candlestick to represent the stock price changes when I putting it all my information in my poster.

If you study about the candlestick, you will notice a red or green/blue stick which Japanese used it to determine the stock closing price, opening price, high or low price of the day (I'm not going to explain it as it can be found in the Internet. Just Google it! LOL). I also used the image of the stock price for Tenaga as my background image and also money staircase as I feel it is more related than using unnecessary image and colours which is not so suitable.

So, happily, I print out the poster and paste it on my faculty's wall. There was no more space for the board to put on my poster as there were more than 60 plus students involved in this competition. But I didn't complain anything as I think it was my fault for not register earlier and that's consider a punishment for me (this is what I think) to put it on the wall. Since it was too early when I paste my poster on it (about 11am like that), then me and my friends decided to had a lunch outside the campus and go library until 2pm as they would started to evaluate.

About 1.30pm, me and my friends went back and prepared to be "asked" (evaluate) by the lecturer. each of the participant will ONLY evaluate by ONE lecturer randomly. Thinking that the lecturer who will evaluate us will be late, we patiently wait until 5pm when all of my friends was asked and evaluated and left two of us not yet evaluated, we decided to ask the organizer.

The organizer, with frustration, asked another lecturer came out from the room and evaluate us. When the lecturer came, she just told us that she got our marks for this poster already. WHAT? How come we can't see him/her that time during the evaluation? We had not left the place at all and we were there earlier also. So, to make us "happy", she just asked us to tell what we did and explain about it and she said she WOULD NOT GOING TO ASK ANY QUESTION on the poster. So, we just explained.

Few days later after the competition and during the dinner night, the results of the poster competition was announced and I didn't get Gold award. Ok! I'm quite disappointed lar! Then I'm aiming for Silver which was not announced on that day. I waited until today and my supervisor had just told us that we just got a Bronze (which is the worst). WHAT? AM I JUST DESERVE THE BRONZE? I can't see any creativity on any of the silver's winners!!! I'm serious.

I'm confident with what I did and never regret on what I had done. I'm happy with the poster that I had done, and yet I believed it to be the best of the best.

Poster, is a way of how you present your message by using visual but not only WORDS. It is a way to present your creativity and get attention. If only the WORDS are important, then why not just using the simple A4 paper of A1 paper and print out the finding by using WORDS ONLY which will help the students to save the money and time?

I know, what I said and think will not affecting the results of the competition any more (as you will said: JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL), but I really hope that in future, please invite more lecturers to evaluate for any competition to avoid any biases so as to improve the quality of the students.

P/s: You might not agree with what I said, but that's just my opinion and feel.
Thanks for reading this post.

FEB Hollywood Awards Night

As usual, my faculty will organize a dinner every year with different theme. For the past two years, I didn't join any dinner organized by my faculty as (1) I think it is expensive, (2) I don't know most of the seniors and I think I will be very bored if I go, and (3) most of my friends didn't go and I didn't feel any "motivation" to go also. This year, as we (me and my classmate) think that since it is out last year here, let's go for this dinner! ^.^

This dinner was held in Hilton, Kuching last Monday (28 May 2012). Theme: Hollywood! LOL!

OMG! Only realized that I just bought all my dress and shoes and bags and also make up stuff back to KL! Alamak!!! This time really have to spend a lot on this dinner already. T.T Need make up, hair do, dress, shoes, bag, ticket, car, petrol... etc... So my purse is now bleeding deeply... T_T

Luckily I managed to bought a cheap shoes at less than RM40 from Vincci, RM100 for Nichi dress, RM36 for the bag (luckily this bag can fit in all my stuff included iPad. LOL) and RM4 ear rings. ^.^ heheh

Ticket which cost me RM65... T.T

On that day, we rent a car and went for photo shooting before we went for the dinner.
We bought a Groupon for photo shooting + make up + hair do + 5R  album with 22 photos + one 8R laminated photo for only RM88 from Snapture Graphic! ^.^ Cheap! ^.^
Done my photo shooting and on the way to Hilton, Kuching! ^.^ Am I pretty? LOL~ Just kidding! ^.^ Love my new necklace so much~ ^.^

Reach Hilton about 7.30pm and looked all my classmate dress up soooo nice!!! Leng lui! ^.^
